Job Title: Outside Sales Representative – Heavy Construction Equipment Location: New Haven & Fairfield County, CT (Sales territory)
About the Role:
We are seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Outside Sales Representative to join our team, specializing in heavy construction equipment. Covering the New Haven and Fairfield County territory, you'll represent top brands like Toro, Husqvarna, Honda, Chapin, Paladin, and more, providing exceptional service and solutions to customers in the construction and heavy equipment sectors.
Key Responsibilities: Build strong relationships with contractors, job site managers, and construction professionals.Conduct on-site visits to identify customer needs and recommend tailored equipment solutions.Demonstrate product features, benefits, and operational techniques to potential buyers.Stay informed about industry trends, competitive products, and market conditions.Accurately processes sales orders, quotes, and customer transactions.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and post-sales support.Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall company growth. Qualifications: Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in heavy construction equipment or a related industry.Strong understanding of construction tools, power equipment, and job site requirements.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within the territory. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) potential of $100,000–$120,000.Company-provided vehicle and phone.Comprehensive benefits package, including health and vision insurance.401(k) with a 4% company match.
