Report location for you and crews is fixed at our new facility in Capitol Heights, Maryland.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversees department Foreman on a day-to-day basis. Responsible for job preview and planning. Supervise work schedules, manpower, material quantities, and equipment utilization by maximizing utilization of resources, labor, equipment, material, and other job costs. Oversee subcontractors' safety, quality, and schedule. Plan work schedules, manpower, material quantities, equipment utilization. Coach and mentor staff toward their personal development. Establish and maintain positive, professional relations with customers, owner representatives, and job site inspectors. Comply with OSHA, DOT regulations and ensure crew members wear personal protective equipment. Contribute to and follow the Loss Prevention Plan. Ensure proper accident notification, investigation, and reporting procedures are followed. Conduct and/or contribute and participate in safety meetings and ensure daily safety talks are held with crew(s). Ensure timely and accurate submission of required paperwork (i.e., line-up, performance reviews, timesheets, quantity reports, material tickets, and other field reports). Maintain control and appropriate follow-through of crew. Provide coaching and mentoring crew members for advancement. Provide fair and consistent in reward and discipline. Complete Performance Reviews timely and provide honest feedback in areas of excellence as well as in areas needing improvement. Minimum Requirements: Must have knowledge of Distribution electrical standards, practices, and procedures. Able to read electrical prints and schematics. Familiar with PEPCO Total Outage Application (TOA) process and requirements. Competent in job walk down including Miss Utility requirements. Able to pass test for LOTO and Clearance holder at Exelon (Pepco). 10+ years' experience in the Distribution Overhead field. At least 3 years as Foreman and/or General Foreman. Able to manage multiple crews and projects at the same time. Provide technical assistance to the crews and train proper techniques. Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required. Possess a CDL class A driver's license or obtain one within 90 days of employment. Able to meet all the physical requirement of the job classification (exact duties will be provided prior to interview).
