The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves. Directly reporting to a Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor, this position supervises the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) team and supports the integrated health services, milieu management, de-escalation and environmental safety in the SSRCC. The BHT Supervisor provides a safe, supportive, therapeutic, harm-reduction, and trauma-informed environment for individuals. BHTs monitor floor milieu and work to be our first line of response to escalated patients. BHTs also support an integrated plan of care for each patient, care coordination efforts, and some mental health groups and activities. This position is approximately 10-25% administrative and 75%-90% BHT care to the patients. 
NOTE: In order to ensure that our consumers receive the best possible care the candidate chosen to fill this position will be required to complete our internal credentialing and privileging process prior to a start date.  The credentialing and privileging timeline is dependent on the selected candidate's submission of documents necessary for clearance.  Please note that a start date will be scheduled once credentialing and privileging is complete.

Essential Job Functions Directly supervises Behavioral Health Technicians. Performs various personnel actions related to hiring, orientation, onboarding, performance appraisals, and counseling. Supports the Recuperative Care program by leading quality improvement, quality assurance, and communication initiatives for the referral & placement processes. Is responsible for the competency of all BHT staff members. Holds regular 1:1 supervision with direct reports, including permanent, temporary, agency, or volunteer staff who are filling these roles. Provides feedback, coaching, mentorship, training, support, competency evaluations, and performance management feedback. Efficiently manages continuous responsibilities of role, including but not limited to partnered scheduling, timesheets, Safetyzone review, staff completion of mandatory trainings, punctuality and attendance, and ensuring team's adherence to policies, procedures, and standard work. Communicates pertinent information to Operations and Program Leadership team members regarding BHT FTE, discipline prioritization matrix, minimum and ideal team staffing ratios, temporary or permanent scheduling adjustments, or other special considerations that may impact scheduling.  Ensures collaboration of care and consistency within and between all integrated health teams, which is an ongoing part of our best practices policy. Champions and leads quality improvement initiatives for the team. Shares knowledge with and coaches other BHT team or inter-disciplinary members on quality improvement efforts. Competent in all duties outlined in current Behavioral Health Technician job description. Ability to work mornings, evenings, holidays, or weekend shifts as needed. Implements delegated aspects of patient treatment plans and participates in a therapeutic milieu under the direction of the behavioral health, safety, and integrated clinical teams.  Addresses substance use challenges and recovery in a harm-reduction and trauma-informed way. May assist residents with physical assistance and support of activities of daily living (ADLs) partnered with the integrated care team. Handles urgent/emergent situations quickly as they arise in a trauma informed manner with careful consideration of CCH Policies, Procedures, Mission, and Philosophy of Service. Performs other duties as assigned.  Qualifications Summary High school diploma or equivalent required. Interest in supporting vulnerable populations is required. Experience as a supervisor preferred. One year of experience as a BHT, in a Safety/Security role, or clinical role preferred. Experience at CCH preferred. Certification in basic life support (CPR). 
\n$22.60 - $27.21 an hour
