As part of our commitment to supporting veterans' transition into civilian careers, we are offering a paid internship opportunity in our Solution Engineering (SE) Organization ( NAA Services Solution Engineering Organization – FinSrv, CME , ProSrv, TTL , E&C, Energy). This internship aims to provide veterans and military spouses with valuable experience in the technology industry, specifically in solution engineering, where you will work closely with our expert team and gain hands-on experience in solving real-world business challenges.
Position Overview: As a SE Intern at Oracle, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside our seasoned solution engineers and contribute to customer engagements. This internship is designed to provide you with exposure to various aspects of solution engineering, including product demonstrations, solution architecture, customer presentations, and technical sales support. You will have the chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams, learn from industry experts, and develop the skills needed to excel in a sales or solution engineering role.
Required Skills and Experience: US Veteran transitioning from active service or Military Spouse new to corporate experience preferred Responsibilities: 1. Support solution engineers in understanding customer requirements and translating them into effective technology solutions.
2. Assist in the preparation and delivery of compelling product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers.
3. Collaborate with the solution engineering team to develop customized solutions, addressing customer challenges and objectives.
4. Assist in technical sales support activities, including product configuration, proof-of-concept development, and solution testing.
5. Contribute to the creation of high-quality sales collateral, including proposals, whitepapers, and case studies.
6. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, Oracle products, and competitive offerings.
7. Exchange knowledge with the SE Team about leadership effectiveness, organizational management, and program management best practices.
Requirements: 1. Military veteran with an honorable dischargeor active duty military spouse, possessing a strong work ethic, discipline, and dedication to excellence.
2. Interest in pursuing a career in sales, solution engineering, or a related field within the technology industry.
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. Technical aptitude and ability to quickly grasp new technologies.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
7. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
8. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area or related field preferred .

About Oracle Veteran Internship Program: Oracle is proud to sponsor an internship and integration program that exposes transitioning military veterans and Military Spouses new to the corporate culture, provides hands-on job-skill training and experience, and offers enhanced professional and personal development. At Oracle, we are committed to the development and professional growth of our veterans and military spouses. Our paid internship program is specifically designed to aid military veterans, transitioning servicemembers and active duty military spouses new to the corporate sector in their transition to a career in the private or public sector.
Veterans and Military Spouses accepted into our program will work closely with corporate leadership, military veteran coaches and HR professionals to help prepare for a successful transition. Interns will engage in on-the-job training and professional development in fields such as information technology, technical/systems consulting, technical support, facilities, finance, human resources, logistics, marketing, sales or developmental training in sales or for customer support (as available).
Additional Information:
+ Hourly wage is $30 per hour. This is a 40 hour per week position. + Internship runs from July 29, 2024 through October 18, 2024 – must be available full time 40 hours per week during these dates.
