Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare documentation to begin package development and track progress to meet deadlines.Develop and implement packaging artwork procedures and guidelines to ensure efficient and consistent packaging design across brands and from multiple suppliers.Monitor and manage compliance with current packaging regulation in the U.S alongside the quality assurance team.Contact suppliers and/or vendors to collect and gather all necessary package and product specifications, printing information, etc.Follow up on pending information from suppliers and/or printers, i.e., missing specification information, cost estimate agreements, invoices, feedback on routing proofs, etc.Careful proofing of all package design proofs.Organize, route, and facilitate approvals on all proofs throughout the design process and labeling regulations compliance.Resolve any issues that arise during or after packaging production processes.Request and keep track of assigned GTINs and UPCs.Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to develop packaging designs that align with branding and product requirements.Maintain an organized library of packaging design projects.Work with the design team to ensure all current packaging images are used in promotional materials, advertising, sale sheets, brochures, websites, and social media.Monitor and manage innovation and sustainability trends in the packaging industry.Maintain current with packaging global pricing fluctuations and material availability.Work with vendors to reduce costs where possible.Follow up on pending information from suppliers and/or printers, i.e., missing specification information, cost estimate agreements, invoices, feedback on routing proofs, etc.Research and keep current with new packaging materials and identify opportunities to source and produce with more sustainable materials.Assist the Director of Marketing in managing weekly workflow and coordinating with graphic designers & production artists when needed (food photographers, stylists). Qualification, Skills, and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., packaging design, graphic design, digital media coordinator, marketing coordinator, project coordinator) or equivalent experience.Strong knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and industry best practices.Computer skillsMicrosoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat) Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.Effective oral and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.Knowledge of graphic design practices and processes across print and webTechnology, internet platforms, and social media savvyAn understanding of creative copy and content writing aimed at consumer goods (preferred not required)Experience with the food industry (preferred not required)Bilingual (English and Spanish) (preferred not required) Benefits you will enjoy:
