We are looking for a full-time candidate to perform skilled painting on woodwork, exterior and interior trim. The hourly pay rate starts at a minimum of $16.18.
\n ResponsibilitiesPainting – Patch walls and fill holes, cracks, and crevices in surfaces; properly prepare and clean surfaces for application of paint by brushing, rolling, or spraying. Tape joints in sheetrock and sand smooth for painting. Work outside on trim, downspouts and gutters and apply silicone preparation as needed. Surface preparation and repair – install drywall panels (repair), including finishing to a level 5.Maintain working knowledge of trends in paint, enamels, stains and varnishes and knowledge of how best to use them.Maintain working knowledge of the proper preparation of wood and metal surfaces and the best materials to use on those surfaces.Follow a painting schedule as determined by the Maintenance Supervisor.Assist with the requisitions of supplies needed and maintain an inventory of these supplies.Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring tools, vehicles and equipment in appropriate areas are clean and organized and all mechanical rooms and closets are free and clean from unnecessary clutter and trash. QualificationsCommunication skills require the ability to provide or obtain basic types of factual information or explanations.Unquestionable honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects.Compassion for and strong desire to work with and care for seniors and provide the appropriate services.On-call requirement and inclement weather availability will be required. RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent required. At least 2 years of experience working as a painter.Must possess a valid driver's license in the state of Virginia and be insurable under the company's insurance program.
