Position Summary: Toyota is seeking a Painter, who will be responsible for working as part of a team and individually to perform a variety of metal preparation and painting tasks proficiently and efficiently.
Prepares and cleans large fabricated weldments and sheet metal components for painting or powder coating.
Responsible for mixing and applying various types of primers, paints, and powder coats.
Day in the Life: Prepare metal for painting or powder coating by sanding spatter and rust, and wiping down steel Utilize various hand-held tools such as grinders and pressure washers Mix paint properly to apply to completed production jobs and sub-assemblies.
Light Assembly for paint preparation such as masking and ink stenciling.
May use material moving equipment such as cranes, pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies Use correct paint and powder coating equipment settings and adjustments, along with proper coating application techniques Inspect paint jobs for quality problems such as runs and missed areas.
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
