Primary Duties & Responsibilities Perform Federal and State Court searches Format and file pleadings and other documents in federal and state courts, including the bankruptcy court Prepare and file proofs of claim in bankruptcy cases Prepare real and personal property foreclosure notices and generally assist the assigning attorney with all aspects of the foreclosure process. Perform UCC searches and file UCC financing statements Perform nationwide business entity research for states of domestication and principal information Communicate with clients, staff, outside counsel, court administrators and judges Knowledge, Skills and Abilities General litigation skills Basic familiarity with bankruptcy forms, practice and rules, particularly preparation of Proof of Claim forms and fee applications and filing of same Familiarity with the real and personal property foreclosure process in Utah Familiarity with performing litigation and lien searches in Utah and other states Familiarity with business entity research for jurisdiction, principal information and UCC filings, and familiarity with filing of UCC financing statements Familiarity with researching County recorder, assessor and treasurer records for real property records, abstracts, property tax information and property valuations Proficient in Microsoft Office Proficient in State and Federal electronic court filings Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Highly organized with a strong attention to detail Ability to keep and maintain confidential information regarding clients and firm issues Aptitude to learn and quickly grasp firm specific software Qualifications 5+ years' working experience as a paralegal Bankruptcy and creditors' rights experience preferred Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience READY TO JOIN OUR LAW FIRM'S PARALEGAL TEAM?
