Position Summary The Paralegal assists with the preparation and submission of filings in adherence to the Company's compliance schedule; conducts legal research and generates preliminary drafts of documents for review by leadership.
The role has responsibility for participating in corporate governance filings, contract management and providing support for all organizational legal initiatives and functions.

Responsibilities Ensure timely compliance with legal obligations by staying informed of the legal compliance calendar and adhering to timelines for the submission of annual reports, data calls, and regulatory filings.Conduct thorough research and analysis of legal sources, including statutes and regulations.Assist in preparation of various legal documents such as affidavits, initial and amended articles of incorporation and bylaws, stock certificates, and Unanimous Written Consents.Participate in the preparation, execution, and documentation management of the annual Home Builders Association of Georgia (HBAG) Endorsement Amendment Agreements.Assist in the maintenance of the record retention program, collaborating closely with legal associates and business units to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.Maintain organized Legal Department files, meticulously indexing and filing original legal documents in required formats.Assist in Preparing Uniform Certificate of Authority Application (UCAA) primary, expansion, and amendment applications as needed.Contribute to the preparation and filing of annual meeting proxy materials.Participate in litigation management, including processing subpoena requests and electronic case filings.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and (paralegal certification preferred)Two or more years of experience as a corporate/insurance paralegal, gained within a law firm or corporationAbility to work independently with minimal supervision Proficient in both verbal and written communication with the ability and commitment to maintain confidentiality; responsive to client needs, consistently working with a sense of urgencySkill in time and organizational management; capable of focusing on details while effectively managing multiple tasksAbility to set priorities, work with shifting priorities, and diligently follow through to completion Skill in problem solving characterized by the ability to devise creative solutions Knowledge of, and proficiency with, Microsoft Office Suite and function specific software programs
