Job Summary:
This is a full-time (in office) role for a Legal Administrator at Fortress Legal Plan. The Legal Administrator will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks including managing, monitoring, and servicing the legal plan, legal document preparation, communication, research, and document review. This is an on-site role located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence
- Organize and maintain case files and documents using document management systems
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
- File legal documents with the court system
- Assist with data entry and organization of client information
- Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather information
- Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or certificate in paralegal studies preferred
- Proven experience working as a paralegal or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficient in using document management systems and other legal software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with phone etiquette in a professional setting
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of legal experience
- Law and legal document preparation skills
- Strong communication skills
- Research and document review skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
