The Paralegal provides research and prepares documents for court proceedings, legal transactions, and other business legal needs. He/She drafts contracts and agreements, prepares corporate resolutions, and other comparable tasks including document preparation and review, research, investigations, fact checking, and trial preparation if necessary. Job Responsibilities Review, track, and monitor legislation that impacts the company's products and/or processesUpdate leadership with timely analysis and summaries of new legislation/regulations affecting the businessAssist in implementing changes to contracts to comply with legislation/regulationsProvide support related to litigation, mediation, arbitration, and responses to complaints.Renew and maintain company licensingDraft, file, and manage various business entity documents Draft contracts, such as employment contracts and non-compete agreementsAssist with paperwork needed by regulatory bodiesRespond to Requests for InformationAssist with ethics and compliance programsPerform legal research Job Requirements 3+ years of Paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate environmentAssociate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills; strong attention to detail requiredUnderstanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related mattersExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentAbility to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgmentProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareParalegal certificate required Compensation: Comprehensive Benefits Package.
