Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled trusts and estates administrative paralegal to manage a high volume of complex tasks related to domestic estate and trust administration, as well as fiduciary accounting.
The paralegal will work independently to oversee estate administration from start to finish, collaborating with attorneys as necessary.
A strong foundation in probate, accounting and estate taxes is essential, along with excellent mathematical, organizational, and technological skills.
The team fosters a collaborative environment across various locations, encouraging paralegals to both mentor others and seek mentorship.

Responsibilities: Identify, gather, and value assets; prepare various probate and accounting documents.Prepare accountings for estates and trusts.Review and interpret wills and trust agreements in collaboration with attorneys to implement plans during estate and trust administration and fund trusts.Complete death tax returns, including federal and state estate tax returns.Conduct basic research using various resources as needed.Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and paralegal certification (or equivalent).Familiarity with court procedures and regulatory agencies.Experience in probate is required.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), PDF software, scanning and production utilities, and document management software.Experience with tax preparation and accounting software (e.g., FastTax, ProSystems).Knowledge of IRS Form 706 is preferred.Eagerness to learn new software and technologies, with a commitment to ongoing training to enhance skills.Understanding of basic business relationships and principles of client confidentiality.
