The Parking Call Team Member serves to provide professional and responsive assistance to the University Community. Through Calls for Service and Parking Enforcement, the Call Team strives to deliver the highest degree of customer service possible. The purpose of the Call Team is to promote a safe campus, provide assistance to the University Community, and encourage compliance with parking regulations. This is accomplished through Calls for Service and enforcement of parking rules and regulations. The Call Team Officer (CTO) supports the parking program by providing assistance to the University community and enforcing parking regulations. Assistance is provided by performing jumpstarts, unlocks, walking safety escorts, and locates. CTOs are also expected to be visible to the community and must be able to provide accurate and helpful information to the University Community and provide assistance to others as needed. Enforcement of parking regulations is carried out by Call Team Officers as they patrol the University parking lots. They are to assist in maintaining a safe campus and should report any situations that create an unsafe environment. The Call Team will be called on to assist others within the University Community with many different duties as needed. Call Team Officers may also perform other duties as assigned. This position requires an extensive amount of walking and outdoor work.
To thrive in this role, the successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with minimal direct supervision. They should have strong reasoning, decision-making skills, and the ability to work outside in all types of weather. The candidate must handle confidential information appropriately and interact and communicate clearly and professionally with a diverse customer base. A strong dedication to customer service is essential.

This position allows for independent agency within the rules and policies governed by UAA Parking Services.
Minimum Qualifications:
A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria is required.
Knowledge of UAA campus, building names, and parking lot locations preferred but not required.
To be eligible for employment as a student assistant, an applicant must:
be enrolled in the university system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or
have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters; and
have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or approval from the chancellor or the chancellor's designee.
Position Details:
This position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage.
Hourly wage will start at $17.00 per hour.
