Job Summary:
We are on the lookout for a skilled and highly motivated Part-Time Remote Project Engineer to augment our dynamic team. This role is ideally suited for an individual with deep expertise in networking, servers, cloud systems, cybersecurity, Veeam backups, Microsoft Intune and Azure. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing and implementing IT projects, offering expert solutions, and assisting with overflow/surge tickets as required. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, presenting an excellent opportunity for those who excel in a self-driven environment. This position has the potential to go full-time in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and oversee IT projects across networking, servers, cloud systems, cybersecurity, with a strong emphasis on Veeam, Intune, and Azure solutions.
- Collaborate with our team to formulate and enhance IT strategies that meet client needs and align with our company's ambitious goals.
- Offer technical support and expertise during peak periods, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of overflow tickets.
- Monitor project timelines, identify and mitigate potential setbacks, and implement solutions to guarantee project success.
- Keep abreast of the latest technological trends and advancements to suggest and implement innovations and improvements.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive documentation and reports on project statuses, outcomes, and recommendations for future initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in networking, servers, cloud systems, cybersecurity, Veeam, Intune, and Azure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a knack for handling multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, aimed at delivering outstanding customer service.
- A self-starter with a robust work ethic, capable of independent work in a remote setting.
- Preferred certifications include CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Security+, along with Veeam Certified Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, and Microsoft Certified: Intune and Endpoint Manager Administrator.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is desirable.
Salary:
$20-$35 per hour based on experience.
This position has the potential to grow into a full time role.
This position is fully remote.
