Part-Time Cashier

Reports to: Front End Manager
Classification: Part Time Union
Rate of Pay: Progressive scale up to $16.50/hour, based on experience
Hours: Sunday - Saturday, varied hours
Job Description: Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions at the checkout Assist customers with questions or concerns and escalate issues as needed Maintain a clean and safe store environment Collaborate with team members to ensure department tasks are completed to a high standard Qualifications: Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor Prior experience working a front-end register is preferred Knowledge of common retail procedures such as returns, coupons and security procedures Motivated to continually learn and grow within the company Physical Requirements: Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Regular standing, reaching, and turning Equipment operation including scanner, register, check approval machine, and coupon machine Mental tasks such as decision-making, social skills, memorization, reading, writing, and basic math Location: County Market Hudson.
