Part-Time General Education Faculty - Communications (Masters Required) Hondros College of Nursing Columbus, OH This is a part-time site-based role at our Columbus campus. Responsibilities: Maintains a positive, supportive learning environment in the classroomProvides regular, timely and responsive communications to students using various communication methodsEvaluates each student's achievement and progress; recommends strategies for success and tutors students to assist them in meeting course objectivesAdvises students on course or program issuesInstructs assigned course(s) according to the course planReviews class syllabus that follows the designed curriculum plan and explains course requirementsDesigns and implements teaching strategies that will assist the student in meeting course objectivesMonitors student attendance and performance issues.
Recommends changes in courses to improve course effectivenessRecords students' attendance and grades in CAMSMaintains student resources associated with assigned course in CAMSParticipates in team-level, faculty curriculum and ad-hoc meetingsActs an ambassador of the College at all times when interacting with colleagues, staff, and studentsParticipates in evaluative studies related to program improvement Requirements: Master's degree is required, preferably in subject matter of communications.
If Master's degree is not in communications, Bachelors degree in communications is required.
