The City of Overbrook, KS is currently recruiting Certified and Non-Certified Law Enforcement Officers to fill an immediate Part-Time Police Officer position.
Located approximately 20 miles southeast of Topeka, northwest of Ottawa and southwest of Lawrence, the City of Overbrook is a community in Osage County with a population of 1,005. The Police Department is staffed by a full-time chief and police clerk and five part-time officers.
Compensation and BenefitsPay: $20.00/hour after completion of KLETCIncentive Pay:$.25 per hour for Associate's Degree$.50 per hour for Bachelor's Degree$.75 per hour for Master's Degree$.25 per hour for bi-lingual$.25 per hour for Field Training Officer ($1.00 per hour while training recruit)$.25 per hour for child safety seat technician$.25 per hour for Intoxilyzer certification$.25 per hour for military/honorable dischargeEquipment and uniforms providedYearly pay increase based on evaluation score and COLA pay increaseHoliday pay at 2x for holidays workedOvertime paid at 1.5x after 40 hoursSupplemental insurance benefits 100% paid by employerNo residency requirement – 60 minute response timeSelection ProcessThe selection process will include a background investigation, interview, written test, and psychological test.
