In addition, you will: Adapt communications for internal employee and virtual audiences by developing and producing short videos.Create visually engaging graphics for digital signage.Research, write, and edit communication materials for use in various media.Provide communications support to departments, groups, and managers to assist in identifying communication needs and messages, and to develop appropriate communication plans.Engage with tour visitors to gather feedback for internal audiences.This position is not available to students on immigration visas.What Skills You NeedIdeally you will be pursuing a degree incommunications, marketing/advertising, business, graphic design, or video editing; others may apply.Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited college/university.Graduationdate of December 2025 or later.Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly.Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly.Must be able to commute to the work location in Dubuque, Iowa, on a daily basis year-round.Experience with photo and video editing software.What Makes You Stand OutExperience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite).Proven ability to create, edit, and assemble communications and recorded footage into a finished project that matches vision and is suitable for broadcasting.Knowledge of layout/design for both print publications and online.Understanding of photography and photo editing.Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions.Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with ability to find stories and turn them into short videos. At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
