Authentic8 is seeking a skilled Network Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day maintenance and operation of its SMS Inbox services and provide after-hour response to incidents and anomalies related to those services. This role will focus on the management, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of SMS messaging equipment and all associated networking systems (switches, routers, firewalls). The Network Operations Specialist will report to the company's Cloud Operations Engineering Manager and will work closely with cloud operations engineers to ensure the reliability and performance of Authentic8's platform and services. This position is a temporary role with a duration of six months. This position is based in Herndon, Virginia.
\n Responsibilities:Responsibilities encompass duties in the following key areas: SMS Inbox Management, Data Center Activities, Administrative Tasks, SIM Management, Support & Troubleshooting, Installation and Configuration of SMS Gateways, Service MonitoringOversee inventory management related to hardware and component capacity for SMS services; this may include updating asset management systems, procuring additional hardware/components, and tracking the assignment and usage of assetsMonitor and facilitate the availability and reliability of telephony systems, networking equipment, and other hardware used in conjunction with SMS servicesEstablish and follow standard operating procedures for the installation, maintenance, and configuration of telephony hardware and assetsEstablish and follow standard operating procedures for the onboarding of new servicesOn-call response and potential after-hours (on-site) supportParticipate in service monitoring duties to identify service level indicators, establish associated monitors, and monitor the service to ensure compliance with service level agreements and terms of serviceIssue reports on inventory levels, service status, and notable activity related to the service Requirements:Previous experience in network operations or telecommunications, preferably in a data center environment.Knowledge of telephony systems, network hardware, and infrastructure components such as routers, switches, and servers.Experience with installation and maintenance, especially related to network or telecommunications systemsStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical issues effectively Experience with network and system monitoring Ability to perform on-call duties and respond to alerts outside of normal business hours; must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to the job site (Herndon, VA) as needed.Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accuratelyAbility to undergo and pass a stringent background checkU.S citizenship required Strongly Desired:Technical certification or degree in telecommunications or networking is preferredExperience with with telephony systems used to facilitate SMS/text services is highly desired Salary:$50.00/hour - This is a part-time position of 20 hours a week.
