Partner Manager, RNL/SSR-A
Are you interested in contributing to one of the biggest drivers of growth in Amazon Japan? We are looking for a motivated, ambitious Partner Manager to onboard and accelerate revenue growth of new Sellers registering to sell on Amazon via our self-service registration page. This is a unique opportunity to combine sales experience with marketing automation and product development. You will be helping new Sellers interested in selling on Amazon.co.jp from all Product Categories by proposing various programs that meet Sellers' needs (e.g., Fulfillment by Amazon, Sponsored Product ads, and Deals). The role has exposure to international teams and visibility with both Japan and World-Wide leaders.
In this role, you will be expected to think analytically and problem solve in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and balance multiple and often conflicting priorities. You will communicate with peers doing a similar role as well as cross functionally. The ability to manage a valuable prospect list is vital; candidates must be comfortable prospecting, cold-calling, and negotiating via phone.
Primary Responsibilities Call Sellers who registered to sell on Amazon but have not listed products yet and/or call Sellers with growth potential who have already listed products, and propose solutions you have identified to grow their business. Teach Sellers how to be more successful on Amazon through education on available tools, policies, and relevant growth opportunities leveraging related Amazon programs and products.Help Sellers adopt programs that accelerate their revenue such as Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), Deals, and Sponsored Product Ads.Identify and scale improvements that can benefit multiple Sellers, e.g. driving efficiencies through tools and processes, simplifying SOPs, improving Seller educational content, and identifying blockers in registration, while working with the relevant internal team members such as Marketing and Product Managers.Manage prioritization and trade-offs across Seller experience, performance, and operational load.Use metrics to identify growth drivers or problems, and act on improvement opportunities.Learn and share best practices with teams in Japan and internationally.Basic qualifications 3+ years of professional experience with sales/marketing/account management backgroundA track record of achieving targetsComfort with metrics and quantitative analysis, and ability to turn analysis into actionable plans; expertise in excelThe ability to work independently while using centralized resources, policies and procedures.The ability to work in a fast paced environment and deal with ambiguityBachelor's degreeNative level Japanese language skills (both verbal and written)Business level English language skills (Read and written)Preferred qualifications Experience working closely with international teamsExperience identifying opportunities for improvement and simplifying and improving existing processesFamiliarity with Email marketing or project management experienceUnderstanding of SQL and data warehousing concepts
