Excellent partner or partner track senior counsel opportunity within a highly-respected law firm with an impressive client base. The primary need pertains to preparing and prosecuting patent applications, with additional work related to various other patent protection issues (e.g., patentability and clearance opinions, due diligence, patent estate management, licensing) while working closely with clients, inventors, and other firm attorneys.
Attorneys at this firm operate under high quality standards, which has resulted in obtaining clients who value attorneys and agents who can write polished, well-written patent applications while also grasping the commercial needs.
Senior Patent Attorney Requirements:Must have a state bar and be licensed to practice before the USPTO.Minimum PhD in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related.At least 7 years of solid patent preparation and prosecution experience in life sciences related organic chemistry.Unique Opportunity for Senior Attorneys:Highly experienced candidates with the above noted credentials and solid client management skills are of particular interest. A portable book is not required, as this firm has an abundance of synthetic organic chemistry work related to pharmaceuticals. However, if you do have any portable book, this firm has an extremely fair compensation structure for Of Counsels and Partners managing and/or originating clients.
Totally Remote:This firm had already been shifting to a virtual office scenario prior to COVID and has multiple attorneys working fully remotely in various time zones, thus this is a fully remote opportunity for candidates of all levels of experience. Notably, they have a flexible and very competitive compensation model with very reasonable billable expectations.
