Brown Fleet Services is a full-service shop in LITHONIA, GA hiring a Parts Supervisor/Service Writer! Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Enter and manage all purchase orders entries and expediting of parts, packaging materials, and components, ensuring the meeting of quality, delivery, and specification requirements at the lowest possible total cost. This position includes purchasing, sales and shipping and receiving. Responsibilities: Utilizes computer skills including the TMT and Mitchell software, pricing of parts, purchase orders and part numbers, stock location, exchange cost and selling cost of inventory. Communicates via email and telephone internally and externally with customers, vendors and employees Parts Base and other computer technology as necessary. Orders parts as needed with proper approvals, striving not to overstock or under stock, but taking advantage of bulk or quantity buying on fast moving inventory Records parts and materials on shop repair orders to include follow through of repairs until completed and returned. Maintains a clean and safe work area by keeping the parts room neat and orderly, doing required housekeeping and updating as needed. Coordinate with shop management and mechanics in all aspects of commercial and fleet repairs. Coordinates purchasing activities involved with procuring goods such as parts, supplies, equipment and tools. Confers with vendors to obtain product information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Prepares purchasing information for management to create purchase orders. Maintains procurement records, such as items purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance and inventories. Discusses defective or unacceptable goods with management, vendors, and necessary parties for troubleshooting to include corrective action. Able to follow through and follow up with given time frames in order to obtain the best prices, quotes and deals. Process returns, exchanges, and credits with suppliers. Negotiate prices, analyze trends, expedite orders and maintain data in relation to purchasing and inventory. Accurately and thoroughly ensures completion of the purchasing cycle from ordering to receiving from beginning to finish. Balances quality with cost to ensure that the best purchases are made. Provide timely and accurate input to TMT system as required including maintaining accuracy between physical inventory and TMT Shipping and receiving of all parts associated with the stockroom. Requirements: High School Diploma (or GED) 3 to 5 years' experience in Truck Trailer transportation parts knowledge Must be able to accurately interpret written, visual and verbal instructions Must be able to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization and with vendors.
