We are currently looking for a patent attorney (associate, partner track) with a solid technical background in life sciences. As a member of this team, you will be able to fully utilize your technical background, as there is an abundance of challenging and life sciences work. The focus of the work will primarily relate to the preparation and prosecution of patents for domestic and foreign clients while also supporting practice needs in other related areas (e.g., patentability, infringement, and freedom to operate opinions; portfolio strategy and management; due diligence; litigation support; Patent Trial and Appeal Board issues).
Patent Attorney Requirements:Minimum M.S. in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related, with a preference for a Ph.D.State bar and USPTO bar.Must have at least 2 years of full-time claim drafting and patent prosecution experience with a reputable law firm.Must possess excellent interpersonal skills suitable for substantial client interaction.Of Counsel or Partner:
If you have a portable book that makes you partially or fully self-sustaining, this could be an outstanding platform within which to integrate your existing portfolio of clients.
