Job Description Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is recruiting a full time AP/CP board certified pathologist to provide anatomic and clinical pathology services.
Fellowship training in an area of surgical pathology with at least 3 years of surgical and clinical pathology sign out experience is preferred.
Sign out responsibilities, frozen section coverage, and on-call duties are shared with other members of the pathology faculty.
The candidate should possess strong overall diagnostic and communicative skills with the ability to handle surgical pathology sign out of an active general surgical pathology service (complex surgical cases, frozen section, cytopathology) and have interest and ability in overseeing daily clinical laboratory duties, such as blood bank, hematology, and chemistry.

Requirements:
•Medical Doctorate (MD, DO) required
•Must be board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology
•3 years in the active practice of pathology preferred
•Must hold current, active license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
