Description Position at Putnam Hospital Center Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York.JOB SUMMARY: Performs nursing skills encompassing patient care and relative tasks under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse.Provides a safe, quiet, comfortable environment for patient, visitors, and employees.Demonstrates accountability for job responsibility and functions.Provides direct quality care and service to patients of all ages under the directions of the Unit Manager/designee.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High School graduate or equivalent.Licensure/Registration/Certification: CNA preferred.
BLS certification for health care provider within 3 months and recertification annually.Work Experience: Recent experience as a nurse aide, phlebotomist, or EKG technician preferred.Physical & Other Factors: On feet most of the day.
Must be able to assist in lifting and positioning patients and moving equipment.Working Conditions:Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterityOccupational: Significant occupational riskPhysical Effort: Very Heavy effort.
May exert up to 50 lbs.
