Optum is seeking a health care professional to serve as a critical team member for the execution of pharmaceutical industry focused Payer Marketing consulting services.
The related services represent an expansion of offerings from the Pharmacy Advisory Services (PAS) team, which sits in the broader Optum Advisory Services (OAS) organization.
Current PAS offerings include a variety of actuarial- and payer-focused education, modeling, and strategy services.
The Senior Consultant will work hand-in-hand with the Senior Director responsible for this expansion, as well as other PAS and OAS subject matter experts and consultants, Upon market-readiness of the expanded offerings, the Senior Consultant will be the operational lead for all projects and, with other team members, will be expected to achieve the highest levels of client satisfaction.
The role includes what will be significant interaction with our clients, external experts, and other colleagues across our corporate matrix.

Primary Responsibilities:
Contribute to trusted relationships with clients
Achieve the highest level of client satisfaction
Achieve solid team and matrix relationships
Proactively develop technical and professional behavioral skills
Support the development of expanded Payer Marketing consulting services
Support sales and contracting operations for the Payer Marketing consulting services
Efficiently and effectively lead operational project delivery
Experience using publicly available information to support topic-specific inquires
Coordinate and facilitate individual and group interactions in virtual and in-person settings

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience working directly for one or more pharmaceutical companies
2+ years of experience in Payer Marketing, Market Access, and/or related disciplines
Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects with multiple project stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and influence senior professionals and subject matter experts
Willing to travel at least 10% of the time (on average)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Marketing
Experience in early phase commercial development (PII and early PIII)
Experience in Market Research

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
