Payment Poster Essential Job Functions:
• Ensure all live checks, electronic remittance advice (ERA), electronic funds transfers (EFT) and zero
pay explanation of benefits (EOB) are accurately applied to the patient accounts.
• Responsible for entering charges for medical record invoices and payments.
• Responsible for entering daily charges and payments for FAST, Massage and Aftercare.
• Verify and balance dollars posted to accounts for accuracy, making corrections as necessary.
• Audit accounts for adjustments to ensure accuracy.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills dealing with a diverse range of people and
personalities.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
situations.
Payment Poster Knowledge of insurance guidelines:
• Ability to act with integrity in regard to all matters of confidentiality.
• Proficient and skilled at 10 key
• Ability to read and understand insurance explanation of benefits for accurate posting to patient
accounts
• Ability to understand daily and weekly balancing
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Self-motivated and attention to detail
• Capacity to work under pressure
Qualifications: Qualifications
Minimum Education/Experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two (2) years of medical billing experience
• Efficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
