Title: Payments Gateway and Acquiring Product Manager
Location: Remote within the US
Key Responsibilities: Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the payments for all of Transacts gateway and acquiring services. Prioritize features, enhancements, and product innovations based on business objectives, customer feedback, and market trends. Align product development with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive insights. Understand industry standards for payments, including PCI compliance, 3DS, SCA, tokenization, and fraud prevention mechanisms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, operations, and sales teams to deliver high-quality payment products. Collaborate with external partners, including financial institutions, processors, and third-party providers to integrate new services and features. Act as the key liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure product vision alignment.
Customer Experience & Support: Monitor and optimize the end-to-end payment experience for users, improving authorization rates, reducing failure rates, and ensuring a smooth transaction process. Collaborate with customer support teams to address issues and improve the overall customer experience.
Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data analytics to track product performance, user engagement, and transaction success rates. Implement A/B testing and other experimentation methods to validate product hypotheses and make data-driven decisions.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure the payment gateway complies with regulatory and security standards. Identify potential risks in the payment process and work with the risk and compliance teams to mitigate them. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of product management experience in payments, fintech, or e-commerce. Proven experience with payment gateway systems, payment processing, acquiring and issuing, and card brands. Familiarity with API-driven platforms and third-party integrations in the payments space. Experience with payment facilitation model and acquiring services.
Skills: Strong understanding of payment protocols (e.g., PCI DSS, 3DS, SCA, etc.). Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making. Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Aha! or similar platforms. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with acquiring platforms such as Global, Worldpay, FISERV, etc. Knowledge of emerging payment technologies such as alternative payments and digital wallets. Technical background in software development, APIs, and system architecture. Experience with Higher Education a plus.
