About the job Payroll Accounting Manager
As a Payroll Accounting Manager, you will own key day-to-day payroll operations for our rapidly growing company; drive timely, accurate, and compliant payroll; and improve end-to-end processes for payroll accounting.
Our Accounting team is responsible for building scalable and dependable accounting processes and valuable financial reporting.
Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, you will also partner with key internal teams to drive operational efficiencies and help scale the entire Finance team as we grow.

What you'll do: Lead and manage all aspects of payroll operations, including employee stock grants and option exercises, and be the main point of contact for US and Canada payrolls Prepare payroll-related accruals, including bonus and commissions, and prepare all payroll account reconciliations for the month-end close Partner with FP&A around monthly variance analysis, management reporting, and GAAP reporting Collaborate with department leads to develop and improve payroll processes and system implementations, identify problems and process gaps, and field interpretation questions Review and audit payroll data, ensuring accurate wages, tax withholdings, deductions, and garnishments and end-of-year payroll tax and reporting compliance Interact with external auditors, third-party resources, or other service vendors to arrive at win-win scenarios for the company and partners Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax filings as required Who you are: 5+ years of payroll processing and 2+ years of accounting experience as a manager Strong communicator with both written and verbal skills as well as strong attention to detail and be able to interface cross-functionally within the organization Ability to excel in a dynamic environment, change priorities quickly, meet tight deadlines, and quickly learn new tools You demonstrate a commitment to advancing representation and inclusion
