Vaco Boston has partnered with Our Client, a global manufacturer searching for an experienced Payroll and Benefits Analyst with experience in accounting and tax work and the ability to handle payroll and its functions on a full time, permanent basis.
Responsibilities: Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any related issues. Ensure accuracy of payroll taxes and reports to federal, state, and local agencies for accuracy. The ability to assist with payroll audits. Process biweekly production of payroll, including garnishments, benefit contributions and payroll related taxes. Verify third party processing of statutory reporting and compliance filings. Provide accounting department with payroll register information and necessary reports. Prepare general ledger entries and present monthly financials. Conduct forecasting and calculate actual benefits fringe rate. Monitor rate activity and analyze data to develop a fringe budget rate. Develop accurate quarterly accrual for 401k and communicate to Corporate Accounting. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Human Resources Three plus years related work experience Full cycle payroll processing experience Must have US benefits exposure, US, and international payroll experience Strong Microsoft Excel skills - (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) Experience in accounting or a similar role handling payroll Experience with SOX controls a plus Vaco values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
