Payroll Specialist Overview
As the Payroll Specialist, you are responsible for handling all payroll-related functions for our companies. This includes processing payroll, as well as reviewing employee tax and direct deposit updates, overseeing the payroll email inbox, handling payroll questions, and completing any other tasks necessary for completing bi-weekly payrolls. You must have excellent communication skills and customer service skills. You will work in conjunction with and support the Human Resources department.
Responsibilities
(Include, but are not limited to) Responsible for gathering all required payroll data, including timesheets, information for pending pay, direct deposit information and tax withholding documents.
Resolve any issues with timesheets and other payroll data, running additional payrolls as needed Process and submit payrolls on a weekly basis (as well as off cycle payrolls, as needed) Answer phone calls and emails on behalf of the payroll department and respond to all payroll-related questions or concerns employees might have. Assist with additional support as needed. Requirements 2 years of payroll experience Strong customer service skills (the employees and managers are your customers) Intermediate/Advanced Excell skills (preferred) Knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Strong written and verbal communication skills Exceptional interpersonal skills Problem solving and creative thinking skills. Multi-task and stay organized while manage their time and multiple priorities in order to succeed. Must be detail-oriented and think quantitatively. Must work well under pressure and are capable of meeting rapid, frequent deadlines. Experience with UKG Payroll systems (preferred)
