Emler Swim School, rapidly growing and continually providing exceptional service for young families in communities, seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist to support over 60 locations by preparing and running payroll cycles for all employees. The position requires strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail and a proven record of meeting important deadlines. The primary responsibility will be processing and reporting payroll for several hundred employees across multiple states. This position is Dallas based and requires a regular office presence, reporting directly to Emler Swim School's Payroll Manager. Responsibilities: Prepare and run payroll cycles for exempt and non-exempt employees following company payroll practices using ADP WorkforceNowReview timecards for nonexempt employees to ensure accuracy prior to processingEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory reporting requirements and guidelinesStrong knowledge of federal and state wage and hour lawsHelp maintain and update the HRIS system with new hires, existing employee updates, terminations, salary updates, and upload documentation into employee filesProcesses pay adjustments, special payments, tax allocations, and employee deductions as neededMaintains confidentiality of sensitive employee information and ensures all payroll information, files and records are maintainedExcellent communication skills with an ability to effectively handle and resolve employee inquiries and issuesPrepare memos/communications that need to go to employees and managers as necessary Education/Experience: A minimum of 2 years of payroll experience is required including experience with ADP WorkforceNow or similar full function payroll softwareExperience creating detailed reports and proficiency using ExcelUnderstanding of voluntary deductionsExperience within a medium to large size company with multi-state locations and high-volume processing Emler Swim School is an industry leader, and our team members are supported with great benefits.
