You will learn how to work with PCB fabricators to build your designs. You will work with SIG Electrical Engineers in defining the parameters of your designs. This is a full time, on-site position in Boise Idaho, relocation may be required.Does this career opportunity sound exciting to you, then come join our team!Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Develop expertise with the specific constraints and requirements associated with all engineering platforms produced by SIG. The SIG PCB Designer at Micron will be the PCB subject matter expert on all engineering tester systemsMaintain effective working relationships with internal customers, Characterization Engineers and Product Engineers in the development of specialized PCBs to ensure the specific needs of each project are metLayout high-speed circuits using best known practices for Signal Integrity and Power Delivery NetworksLayout circuits targeting Design For Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)Solve electrical and mechanical design issues making sure each PCB design package will correctly collaborate with all existing mechanical and thermal assembliesFacilitate standardization by being aware of the bigger picture, including design features which will drive standardization and improve efficiency throughout the departmentBring forward ideas to improve overall team efficiencyCoordinate with external vendors as vital for the completion of previously mentioned itemsQualifications:Successful candidates for this position will have:High degree of self-initiative with a positive "can-do" attitudeGood demeanor, willingness to learn, adaptable, and open to changeThe ability to handle a fast-paced workload and changing prioritiesAbility to work well both independently and as part of a teamStrong understanding of basic electronics principles and theoryStrong understanding of signal integrity issues, reflections, crosstalk, coupling, etc.Strong command of PCB manufacturing processes and limitations,Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsExperience designing for high speed, power distribution networks, and HDIExperience with DFM and DFA.5+ years PCB layout experience using Siemens (Mentor Graphics) tool setCompletion of signal integrity classes, certifications, or webinarsCID, CID+ preferredEducation:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study, or equivalent experienceAbout Micron Technology, Inc.We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
