TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: PCU RN - Medical Specialty Step Down Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights 3x12 Hr Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience License: Current RN License from the applicable state board, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association Must-Have: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program Job Description: - Provide nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, ensuring high-quality care. - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders on assigned patients. - Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. - Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary. - Administer medications as prescribed, and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. - Deliver patient care competently and effectively. - Interact with patients and families, sharing care plans during hospital stays and at discharge. - Inform patients and families of hospital procedures to ensure understanding. - Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks effectively to support staff. - Perform other duties as assigned.
