Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a BC or BE Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our team at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Hospital in Temple, Texas. Position Highlights: The anesthesiologist will practice pediatric anesthesiology, to include NICU babies, and all ages of children up to the ages of 18. This will include major trauma, neuro-anesthesia, spines, and airway surgery. This will also include anesthesia for infants and children with repaired cardiac defects, if deemed appropriate by the attending of record. The selected individual will join a small team and be the 7th anesthesiologist to join the practice. Their practice will be a mix of Anesthesia Care Team Model (including pediatric CRNA's and Anesthesia Residents), and 10-20% Solo Staff Model. The work schedule is expected to be Monday-Friday, with weekend and evening call distributed by mathematical algorithm, and equally, among the 7 pediatric anesthesiologists. Additional earning opportunities are provided for working overtime and weekends, there will be extra pay for call coverage. Academic opportunities are available to teach Texas A&M medical students and residents and soon to be Baylor College of Medicine students and residents. McLane Children's is a 106-bed acute care Pediatric Level II Trauma Center, and an academic site for the Texas A&M College of Medicine. Temple Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed acute care adult hospital, with the NICU still attached. It is across a 2-lane highway from McLane Children's Hospital. The majority of NICU babies are anesthetized at Temple Memorial Hospital at this time. Other pediatric anesthesia sites are required, frequently, at Temple Memorial Hospital, and the selected individual will be expected to help with this coverage.
