Description Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Cardiology is seeking a physician for an outpatient pediatric cardiology office to provide consultative and follow-up care for patients with suspected or proven cardiac issues. Responsibilities include:
Taking pertinent history and performing physical exams. Performing and interpreting electrocardiograms and echocardiograms. Interpreting Holter and cardiac event monitors. Ordering and interpreting specific testing modalities and communicating results with families and referring physicians. Providing consultative and inpatient services, including ordering and interpreting tests at hospitals. Emphasis on in-house consultative services, including coverage weeks at Northside Hospital and CHOA's Scottish Rite campus. Care of heart failure patients. Competence in electronic medical records and adherence to policies and procedures of Children's Cardiology. Strong hands-on echocardiography skills are required, with the ability to perform and interpret fetal echocardiograms desired for outpatient visits and consultations at outside hospitals/perinatology practices.
