Pediatric Cardiologist, Non-Invasive Imaging The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Pediatric Cardiologist, Non-Invasive Imaging with an interest in academic medicine, clinical expertise and scholarship to join the non-invasive imaging program within the Blalock-Taussig-Thomas Heart Center. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology and the Blalock-Taussig-Thomas Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center deliver comprehensive, innovative and compassionate care from the fetal period through adulthood for persons with heart disease. The Division of Cardiology currently has 13 full-time clinical faculty and one translational full-time research faculty, along with two full-time research faculty who hold Ph.D. degrees, and nine pediatric cardiology fellows. As the birthplace of pediatric cardiac surgery with the historic "blue baby" operation, Johns Hopkins has been at the forefront of caring for children and adults with congenital heart disease, including those with genetic conditions. Researchers in the division, collaborating with colleagues from throughout Johns Hopkins and across the world, are unraveling the mechanisms of childhood heart disease and developing innovative treatments for these disorders. The Johns Hopkins Hospital strengthened its commitment to pediatric excellence with the opening of The Charlotte R. Bloomberg Children's Center in 2012, including 205 beds, state-of-the-art cardiac operating rooms, pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, cardiac catheterization suites and cardiac imaging facilities, as well as a commitment to building hybrid catheterization facilities with operating room capacity.

This cardiologist will work primarily at Johns Hopkins Children's Center main campus.
The candidate must hold an MD/DO degree (or equivalent), be board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric cardiology, and hold or be eligible for a Maryland physician license.
Candidates must have completed residency & fellowship training. Additional training and/or extensive experience in pediatric and congenital non-invasive imaging, and especially fetal cardiology, is required.
Clinical activities will include working in the pediatric cardiology echocardiography laboratory, outpatient clinics, and inpatient rotation. Depending on training and expertise, may also perform and interpret pediatric cardiac MRIs and/or fetal echocardiograms. Travel to outreach clinics located in surrounding community cities may be required. Clinical activities of this faculty member will be at the full-time instructor/assistant/associate/professor rank based on the experience of the candidate.

Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
