Pediatric Congenital Heart Surgeon Faculty Opportunity This is a unique opportunity to join the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Cincinnati Children's. Surgeons in this Division may perform surgeries at multiple locations. This position is to be a full faculty member in the Cincinnati Children's Division of Congenital Heart Surgery and report to the Chief of the Division.
The selected candidate for this role will primarily operate at Akron Children's Hospital (ACH) in Akron, Ohio, and thus will need to live within the Greater Akron Area. The surgeon will support the development and growth of the Joint Pediatric and Congenital Heart Program (JPCHP) with Cincinnati Children's while directly working day-to-day with the Chief Cardiothoracic Surgeon at ACH.
The Joint Pediatric and Congenital Heart Program collaboration between Cincinnati Children's and Akron Children's Hospital seeks to strengthen an already existing and successful heart program at ACH through shared conferences, resources, and quality improvement (QI) initiatives.

Qualifications: Educational Experience and Requirements:
M.D., D.O. degree or equivalent Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited program in Thoracic Surgery with subspecialty training in an ACGME-accredited congenital Cardiac Surgery training program or the foreign equivalent of the same. At least 2 years of clinical experience in congenital heart surgery Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Congenital Heart Surgery, or the international equivalent Current active unrestricted medical license Appropriate medical credentialing through the Medical Staff Services offices Completion of all required pre-employment activities. The clinical faculty appointment will be consistent with the applicant's qualifications and experience as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor.
