Pediatric Dermatologist Assistant/Associate/Professor of Dermatology Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Temple, TX, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Dermatologist to join our Department of Dermatology.
BSW Temple is an academic referral center in central Texas which trains medical students and residents. As of July 2022, there will be 11 residents and 13 faculty, including one Pediatric Dermatologist. A Dermatopathology Fellowship is offered through the Pathology department. We are currently affiliated with Texas A&M College of Medicine and will transition to Baylor College of Medicine with the establishment of a new Temple BCM campus starting in 2023.
Primary Responsibilities: Patient care and teaching in Pediatric Dermatology outpatient clinics.Shared call coverage for inpatient consultations at McLane Children's Hospital.Opportunities to perform basic dermatologic surgery and laser surgery.The position will involve a significant educational component via bedside, formal and informal teaching of learners including Dermatology residents, rotating Pediatric residents, and medical students. Clinical or educational scholarship is encouraged.
Requirements: Board certification in Dermatology and Board certification/eligibility in Pediatric Dermatology by the time of appointment.The ability to diagnose and manage complex pediatric dermatology outpatients and inpatients including those with inflammatory, vascular, infectious, pigmentary, genetic, congenital, and acquired diseases is mandatory.About Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple: Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple is a 574-bed multi-specialty teaching hospital with a Level I Trauma designation.
