Clinic Overview Join an established specialty practice currently staffed by pediatric endocrinology, pulmonology, infection disease, rheumatology, developmental pediatrics, and others, including nurse/case manager/pediatric diabetes educator, case manager support staff, and certified medical assistants. The practice is embedded in the Anchorage Native Primary Care Center Specialty Pediatrics clinic with access to pediatric dietitians, behavioral health consultants, integrated pharmacists, in-house laboratory and radiology services, and community health resources support. This full-time position includes a vast telehealth network and opportunities to travel to field clinics throughout rural Alaska.
From a statewide referral network from pediatric and family medicine providers comes a diverse mix of pediatric nephrology cases. In addition to outpatient clinic time, inpatient consultation services, and a shared call system, this position includes options for clinical research, quality improvement, and teaching medical students and family medicine and pediatric residents, as well as the potential for an academic appointment with the University of Washington.
Qualifications: M.D. or D.O. degree required.Licensed as a Physician in the State of Alaska or the ability to be licensed prior to start date.Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Nephrology.Meets all requirements to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Employee Health and Background Check Requirements: SCF is committed to customer and employee health and safety.
