We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.*Job Overview*The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients by formulating individualized treatment plans and using a variety of therapeutic techniques to help patients regain function and/or adjust to disabilities. The incumbent should maintain appropriate and timely documentation for each medical record, update patients on progress, and participate in team meetings.*Responsibilities:** Facilitates the development and rehabilitation of patients with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities by planning and administering individualized treatment plans.* Creates goals and objectives for patients to work toward and identify areas of progress and challenges.* Assists patients with developing or regaining physical or mental functioning.* Assists patients with physical and mental support needed to adjust to disabilities.* Assess home environment and advise on adaptive equipment needed to assist patients with daily activities.* Promotes maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to an individual's physical capacity, intelligence level, and interest.* Evaluates results of occupational therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress and recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications.* Maintains records of patient progress and reports to appropriate internal team member(s).* Prepares equipment and exam room(s) ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed.* Serves as an advocate for patients and collaborates with external organizations to provide appropriate support and necessary accommodations.* Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations and certification requirements.* Participates in continuing education opportunities including attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing professional networks.* Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.*Experience Requirements:** Two (2) years of pediatric therapy experience or experience related to the duties described above.*Job Type: *Part Time/ Full-TimeJob Types: Part-time, ContractPay: $55.00 - $68.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 15 per weekBenefits:* Flexible scheduleMedical Specialty:* PediatricsSchedule:* Monday to FridayEducation:* Master's (Required)Experience:* Occupational Therapy: 2 years (Preferred)* Pediatric: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* Georgia Occupational Therapy License (Required)* NBCOT Certification (Required)Work Location: In person
