You will specialize in the medical treatment of infants, children and adolescents and assist families in addressing their options, problems, fears, and concerns for their child.You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocolsYou will plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resourcesYou will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff in accordance with established policiesYou will provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient/family teaching into all aspects of nursing practiceWhat qualifications you will need:At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)Experience in an acute care setting – preferredPrevious Pediatric Emergency Department experience – preferredAssociate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing programBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferredCurrent State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
