DescriptionThe Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Seattle Children's Hospital is recruiting a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology attending to join the Acute Care Oncology team in Seattle, Washington. Position is full-time at the Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor level. Position is a 12 month service period, July 1-June 30 with reappointment on an annual basis. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Anticipated start date is Fall 2023.
Responsibilities include providing in-hospital overnight attending care for medical issues arising in Hematology, Oncology, and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) patients, and supervision and clinical teaching of residents. Applicants should be comfortable with the inpatient care of sick children.
The base salary range for this position will be: Clinical Assistant Professors MD $11,882 - $17,823 per month ($142,584 - $213,876 annually), Clinical Associate Professors MD $14,976 - $22,464 per month ($179,712 - $269,568 annually), Clinical Professors MD $18,809 - $28,213 per month ($225,708 - $338,556 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations.
Qualifications include having a MD, DO or foreign equivalent degree, pediatric board certification, and board-eligibility/board-certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
