Pediatrics - Newborn Hospitalist Clinical Faculty

Details of the offer

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a full-time Newborn Hospitalist to join the Division of Neonatology, the largest division in the Department of Pediatrics.
Newborn hospitalist responsibilities include:

providing professional physician clinical services in the delivery room and nursery

providing full spectrum newborn care

attending high risk deliveries and performing neonatal resuscitation

evaluating newborns with acute concerns in labor and delivery and the postpartum unit

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is one of the largest labor and delivery facilities in the country, averaging between 6,500-7,000 births annually, and is advancing an ambitious vision for children's healthcare thanks to the generosity of the Shapell Guerin Family Foundation and its president, Vera Guerin. Propelled by this historic $100 million gift, Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children's will fill a critical gap in care for young patients in Los Angeles and beyond, providing primary and specialty care for patients as they grow from newborns to adolescents to adults.
In addition to current pediatric intensive care beds and neonatal intensive care beds, the hospital has renovated an inpatient space with 26 beds. Ophir Klein, MD, PhD, an internationally recognized innovator in pediatrics and genetics, has been named as the inaugural director of Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children's, as well as the David and Meredith Kaplan Distinguished Chair in Children's Health.
Cedars-Sinai has been named to the Honor Roll for the eighth consecutive year and tied for #1 in California and Los Angeles in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Hospitals 2023-24" rankings. Eleven medical specialties were nationally ranked for their clinical excellence; nine of the specialties placed in the top 10. We are a national leader in providing high-quality, patient-centered healthcare that encompasses primary care as well as specialized medicine, and conducting research that leads to lifesaving discoveries and innovations.
