About The Position A 320-bed Children's Hospital is seeking a neonatal perinatal nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage. This is a teaching hospital setting with a 100+ bed NICU. The EMR is EPIC. From treasure-filled museums to fun and funky festivals, outdoor recreation to loads of shopping, and so much more, discover all there is to do while on assignment in Oklahoma City. The Level IV NICU has 102 beds and serves 10 patients daily, focusing on high-risk deliveries during night shifts. Key procedures include ECMO (involving only MDs and fellows), some surgeries, therapeutic cooling, and intubations, but not PICC lines or chest tubes. Evidence-based medicine is prioritized, with one physician supervising two advanced practice providers (APPs). Shifts run for 12.5 hours from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., including sign-out time.
