Minimum 1+ years pharmacy experience required. Soliant is seeking an experienced Retail Pharmacist to provide per diem coverage at a specialty pharmacy focused on HIV/AIDS care. This role offers flexible shifts through the remainder of the summer and into the holiday season, making it a great opportunity for pharmacists looking to supplement their hours. Position Details: Shifts : As needed Days, Monday through Friday (No weekends) Key Responsibilities: Prescription Filling & Dispensing : Accurately fill and dispense medications, ensuring patients receive the correct medications in a timely manner while adhering to safety protocols. Prescription Verification : Carefully verify each prescription for accuracy and appropriateness, checking for potential drug interactions or contraindications, especially important given the complex nature of HIV/AIDS treatment. Patient Consultation : Provide personalized consultation to patients, answering any questions about their medications, potential side effects, and ensuring they understand their treatment regimens. Offer additional support to HIV/AIDS patients who may have unique medication concerns. Medication Therapy Management (MTM) : Work closely with patients to optimize medication therapy, particularly in managing chronic conditions and co-morbidities often associated with HIV/AIDS. Supervising Pharmacy Technicians : Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, ensuring accuracy in prescription preparation, medication labeling, and inventory management. Inventory & Medication Management : Monitor the pharmacys inventory, ensuring the availability of essential HIV/AIDS medications and maintaining accurate records of controlled substances. Collaboration with Healthcare Providers : Work closely with other healthcare professionals to manage patient care, adjust medications as needed, and ensure holistic care for patients managing complex conditions.
