Per Diem, Rn

Pay Range: PER DIEM, RN - $57.00 to $59.00
Job Summary: The Registered Nurse is responsible for independently utilizing the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for a group of patients based on HMNMH's policies, procedures and all regulatory requirements. Also responsible for triaging patients in the Emergency Department.
Licensure and Certification :
Certification by appropriate governing body desirable (AACN, ANCC) Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS provider cards Current MAB certification Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred Experience: Minimum 1 year acute hospital experience preferred Knowledge and Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills Critical thinking skills Basic computer skills Physical Demands - Clerical/Administrative Non-Patient Care: Frequent sitting and standing/walking with frequent position change. Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering, grasping, and forward reaching between waist and chest level. Occasional/intermittent reaching at or above shoulder level. Occasional/intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, twisting, and climbing. Occasional/intermittent lifting and carrying objects/equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Continuous use of near vision, hearing and verbal communication skills in handling telephone calls, interacting with customers and co-workers and performing job duties.
