What You'll Do:
The Performance Testing Engineer independently performs routine engineering analysis and performs a lead role in determining scope, schedule, budget and resources needed.
They also Prepare tests and studies; Evaluate performance of parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions; and Record results & makes recommendations based on findings.
Services include inspections, failure analysis, performance assessments, and evaluations on a wide variety of systems and components ranging from in-service concrete to hydroelectric turbine blades to distributed generation.
Completes multiple projects concurrently.
Prepares tests and studies; Evaluates performance of parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions; and Records results & makes recommendations based on findings.
Develops test protocols, models, test technologies and analyzes data.
May assist in the development of technical policies and procedures.
Participates in identifying innovations and cost-reduction potential of new and existing technologies.
Prepares cost and materials estimates for use in client bid proposals.
Interface with clients regarding status of project or to collect more information.
Ensures client expectations for project are met.
Collaborates with peers to prepare technical reports and specifications and to identify, define, and solve problems.
Assists senior peers on more complex tests and projects, participating in planning, budgeting and testing.
May review test design of Associate level engineers to determine effectiveness and if objectives of project will be obtained.
This is an on-site role that will be needed in San Ramon 5 days a week. Required Qualifications: Bachelors' degree in Engineering with emphasis on related/assigned discipline (i.e., Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, etc.)
3 years of related experience Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree PE Proficiency in engineering research and testing concepts, theories, practices, methods, techniques.

Benefits & Salary: This position pays between $91,000 and $120,000 annually and is an exempt position.
Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match.
Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans.
HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available.
These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.
Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.
May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
