I.
POSITION OBJECTIVE Create a caring environment for residents, families, team members, and volunteers.
Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the operation of the comprehensive personal care neighborhood.
Contribute to the organization's strategic and master planning efforts to ensure consistent quality care and adherence to the changing regulatory climate.

II.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.
Participates in strategic planning for the Masonic Village at Burlington.
Takes the strategic plan and directs the planning process for personal care services.
2.
Provides leadership for the continuous quality improvement process, assuring customer feedback and outcomes drive the process.
3.
Provides and maintains effective communication with team members, residents, responsible parties and the community to solicit feedback regarding performance, needs, etc., and to effectively build relationships.
4.
Assures effective development of the team, through appropriate hiring, professional development, and a performance enhancement process that is focused on achieving personal and organizational goals.
Supervises, directs, and motivates community staff; provides hands-on assistance as needed.
Encourages teamwork and collaboration and fosters high employee engagement.
Ensures community maintains appropriate staffing levels to meet the needs of residents and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
5.
Responsible for high resident satisfaction and retention.
Is responsible for maintaining positive resident relations and is accessible and approachable to residents and their families or representatives.
Is proactive in solving problems and resolving issues.
Leads efforts to leverage satisfied residents and families to grow community occupancy.
Partners with the Resident Council as necessary.
Administers resident satisfaction and other surveys and creates plan to address opportunities for improvement in resident satisfaction, experience, and engagement.
6.
Develops and conducts service plan reviews, consistent with regulatory requirements, with appropriate interdisciplinary care team members and resident families to promote the highest quality of care and quality of life of residents.
7.
Ensures the efficient, economic, and quality performance of assigned department(s), and the delivery of health care and services for the comprehensive personal care home.
Assists in preparing annual operating and capital budgets.
Reviews and approves budgets prior to submission.
Monitors monthly operating statements and offers support for cost efficient alternatives.
8.
Ensures that services comply with regulatory and any accrediting standards, and that developed policies, procedures, systems, and programs are in compliance.
9.
Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to keep abreast of latest trends.
Serves on professional/civic organizations as the Masonic Village's representative as requested.
Meets with members of the professional and social community to promote good community relations.
10.
Drives sales and marketing efforts in collaboration with the sales and marketing team to meet or exceed occupancy or revenue targets by developing new business, generating leads, and building strategic relationships.
Engages with prospects who tour the community.
Identifies trends and implements approved sales and marketing activities and strategies to maximize revenue.
11.
Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsible for overall licensure/survey process (including complaint, annual).
12.
Properly manages expenses, including coding of invoices and necessary finance documents.
13.
Ensures that resident assessment process is completed per regulations and levels of care services are provided as needed.
14.
Assists the marketing/admissions team with assessing potential new residents to Cedar Commons.
15.
Actively supports creating an environment that is person-centered and supports organization's philosophy of services.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS • Performs other specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. IV.
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 1.
Long-term care experience in a supervisory capacity.
2.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations/standards as they apply to long-term care and/or assisted living/comprehensive personal care.
3.
Thorough knowledge and background in geriatric health care and geriatric services.
Knowledge of business practices such as budgeting and financial analysis.
4.
Must be fully COVID and flu vaccinated per CDC guidelines and Masonic Village policy.
5.
Must be comfortable working with COVID-positive patients.
V.
LICENSES/ CERTIFICATIONS • Current license as a Certified Assisted Living Administrator in the state of New Jersey.
VI.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to read and write in English.
