The Law Offices of Donald Colvin, APC is a rapidly growing Personal Injury Law Firm in Bakersfield, CA. Our firm is looking for a Salesperson with consultative sales experience to handle client intake for our firm. This position, known to clients as our Client Relations Specialist, is responsible for screening leads and conducting intake conversations to identify the potential client's problem, and when appropriate, selling them "solutions" our Firm provides. Potential clients reach out to us for help with complex problems and we believe that we have an obligation to help them find a solution. Most of the time, our solutions just happen to be in the form of providing legal services. If you truly want to help people solve complex problems and can approach conversations with maturity and sensitivity, then this position can be highly rewarding to you personally and professionally. Key Responsibilities: Answer phones, triage calls and take messages from potential clients. Screen leads to identify who is qualified to purchase legal services. Conduct intake and sales conversations to identify problems and sell solutions. Oversee the client onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition to the legal team. Follow up with potential new clients on status of their case review. Track and report metrics relating to marketing and sales conversion data. Maintain records and enter critical data into the firm's software systems. Qualifications : Fluency in Spanish and English/multilingual is preferred. Must have stellar customer service/ people skills. Must have the ability to interact with different types of personalities. Must have the ability to show empathy to potential clients and put them at ease during a difficult time. Must know how to close a sale by creating urgency and promoting value. Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both over the phone and in writing. Must have the ability to think on their toes and not discouraged when things don't go as planned. Must have the ability to treat a call or meeting at 4:30 on a Friday with the same care and compassion as one on Monday morning. Must follow instructions and understand the importance of policies and procedures. Must be a team player that consistently acts with respect and integrity. Must be tech savvy (we use law firm systems and cloud-based software). Our Client Relations Specialist doesn't give legal advice, so legal experience is not required. Prior sales and customer service experience is required because we can teach you how a case moves through the system, but we can't teach you how to care about someone going through a difficult situation or the importance of following up. If you come from the school of thought that making a sale is all about what you can "get" from a prospect or what you can "talk them into" you won't be happy here. We believe in consultative selling where we help our prospective new clients make sense of their situation, weigh their options and make important and often painful decisions. We are into using the sale as the beginning of a long-term relationship with our prospective new clients. If you are interested in a career (we really think of it as more of a "calling") that includes loads of training and professional development to stay sharp, total transparency (another way of saying there's nowhere to "hide"), and fuel for your soul because we're really and truly helping people then please apply. If you send us your application and follow all the instructions, we will ask you to complete a brief written interview before scheduling a live interview. We do this to ensure that you can read, write, and think critically. If you do not wish to complete the written interview, please do not apply. Compensation depends on experience and qualifications. Benefits include paid holidays, paid time off, health insurance coverage, and the option to participate in our retirement savings plan with employer match. If you are looking for a high-energy and positive team environment with lots of growth potential, then look no further.
